Heavy-duty grilling gloves with extra heat protection

The grilling gloves are made from heavy buffalo leather that has natural flame-retardant properties. For additional protection, they feature a heat- and flame-retardant lining. The extra-long model, measuring a full 40 cm, also provides welcome protection for the forearms against heat and sparks when grilling over an open fire, charcoal grill, or gas grill.

The gloves feature a practical Velcro closure that makes them easy to fasten together when not in use. 

Vegetable-tanned buffalo leather – a living natural material

ALPENGLÜHEN is made from full-grain buffalo leather approximately 1.4–1.8 mm thick, vegetable-tanned without chrome or heavy metals.

After tanning, the leather is treated with oil and hand-polished with a hard wax. This traditional treatment creates a beautiful two-tone effect with natural color variations and gives the leather its characteristic vintage appearance.

Each pair takes on a unique appearance and develops a personal patina over time. The leather retains its natural texture, giving the gloves both character and durability.

Traditional craftsmanship and responsible manufacturing

Alpenleder places great importance on material selection and manufacturing methods. The leather pieces are cut by hand using templates, rather than by laser, and then sewn together by hand.

The heavy-duty saddlery leather is carefully selected to ensure a long lifespan and an authentic handcrafted appearance.

All products comply with EU REACH requirements. Alpenleder's manufacturing partners are also certified according to SA8000, an international standard for social responsibility and good working conditions.
